about me…

Mhairi Dhami-Gray

I am a Registered Psychologist with a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through therapy and assessments across diverse mental health settings. Most recently, I’ve had the privilege of working in remote communities in the Northern Territory, an experience that has deepened my understanding of resilience and the diverse ways in which people heal and grow.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that therapy should be a safe, supportive space where meaningful change can happen. I take a holistic approach to mental health, recognising the importance of mind, body, relationships, and environment in the healing journey. I know that therapy isn’t always easy, true growth often asks us to sit with discomfort. However, I believe that this work, when approached with care and commitment, can be profoundly important.

I’m especially passionate about supporting people through the many phases of the parenting journey, from pre-conception and pregnancy to the early years and beyond. This season of life can be both beautifully rewarding and intensely challenging. When working with children, I always consider the broader family system, with the goal of enhancing the quality of life for everyone involved.

Finding the right therapist can make a big difference in your experience of therapy. Wherever you are on your journey, I’d welcome the chance to connect and see if we’re the right fit to work together.

P.s. If you are wondering how to pronounce my name, you are not alone! The Gaelic pronunciation of Mhairi is ‘Va-ree’.
